| Brett Casper’s photography illuminates the synchronicity of experience and representation. Producing images that are multi-faceted realizations of his immediate experience, photography is a device for him. The camera allows both the creator and viewer to fully engage in each moment’s spontaneity. One sees a relationship between his work and Surrealism - especially with Andre Breton’s concept “compulsive beauty” in L’amour Fou. “Compulsive beauty” is an image makers power to make an image that explodes beyond perceived reality.
